As a hobby, I collect original movie posters.

I mostly like to obtain ones for movies that I like.

That said, I've always dreamed of having the opportunity to design a movie poster for a real life film release from a major studio.

In the meantime, I sometimes make alternative movie poster designs to scratch my itch, and to flex my skills in Photoshop.

A reel I made a while ago for Instagram to talk a little bit about my movie poster collection with my followers.

I created this movie poster by taking a photo of the Back to the Future LEGO set that I have.

It was a warm evening, just before the sun was about to set.

I went for a little walk down a country side road, and posed the LEGO DeLorean and Lego Marty similar to the original movie poster design.

I then laid down on the road and snapped a couple images during golden hour so that I could capture the same lighting as the original poster, and minimize having to twiddle with that in post.

Then, I used a mixture of Photoshop and Illustrator to render the final composition.
